Meet the team: Lauren Tracey

We are continuing our Meet the Team series this week with Lauren Tracey, who is Credit Control and Assistant to the Director at Kingdom!

Tell us a bit about yourself

I’m Lauren, I’m 28… I have just bought my first house on my own this year, so I am learning all about adulting.

How long have you worked at Kingdom?

I’ve worked for Kingdom for 9 years. I left sixth form and came straight here. I started as a Telesales Executive and have progressed over the years. I’ve done a little bit of everything, sales, some office supervision and most recently credit control as well as assisting the director which I have been doing for 4-5 years now.

What does your typical workday include?

Dealing with a lot of different things throughout the day, whether that’s orders, quotations, chasing payments, the sales invoicing and processing payments

What do you do outside of work?

I spend a lot of time with family and friends, going out, probably far too much… Eating, drinking and now just running/completing my house to how I want it. So, lots going on at the moment.

What is your favourite thing about working for Kingdom?

My colleagues and customers, I like dealing with different customers every day. No day is the same, so its always fun, always interesting.

When you were younger what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a lawyer. That is what I wanted to do right up until I was 17 that is when I realised it was just too oversubscribed. But I still enjoy reading and studying laws. I had work experience at the Old Bailey, that was really interesting, I sat in on a murder case with a defence lawyer.

What’s the last film you watched?

Likely to be a Disney film, think it was Finding Nemo

Describe your job in 3 words.

Challenging, demanding and diverse.

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?

The ability to go into the future

Fun or interesting fact

When I was 19 I interrailed around Italy with my friends, which was so fun.

What was your first job?

I was a waitress at a golf club, I started at 13

What’s one song or artist that you’re embarrassed to admit you like?

Take That; not that I’m embarrassed by that at all, Mum and I’s favourite!!

Who is your favourite person at Kingdom? (Lauren wouldn’t give just one)

Jody because she has been my support and backbone for the last 6 months and Anisa as I do not see her often so it is always nice to see her!

Stay tuned every week for more from the Kingdom team!
